Our company has devoted years of research and development in instrument and computer system integration and product development in the areas of assistive technology and safety and risk management products and services. This investment in software development and hardware integration has resulted in the creation of several proprietary products and services. ProActive's technologies include a wide spectrum of applications including custom computer solutions to assist people with vision, auditory and speech impairments as well as providing emergency management tools such as a platform to deliver immediate mass notifications through multiple redundant formats including our own predictive early warning severe weather system. Proactive has consulted, integrated and installed custom systems with redundant alert notifications for safety applications for corporations such as Northrop Grumman and DuPont and government and military installations like Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, The Defense Supply Center.
Additional clients include a long list of golf courses and country clubs like Boonsboro Country Club, Brandywine Country Club, Columbia Country Club, Pine Valley Golf Club, and Princess Anne Country Club. ProActive has also consulted and installed lightning and severe weather early warning systems at retirement communities with country clubs on location such as Connestee Falls and Heritage Oaks as well as resorts and conference centers including the Ace Conference Center and Wintergreen.
ProActive has also had the privilege of providing severe weather early warning solutions for youth sports and recreational facilities such as Little Leagues and soccer associations like the Maryland SoccerPlex, Discovery Sports Center and the Soccer Association of Columbia and Howard Counties.
Our most recent product is a web-based reverse 911 mass alert notification system that we named Alert119. This can be used in conjunction with the StormGrid and our CameraGrid digital video monitoring and recording system or it can be a stand-alone service to deliver urgent individual or bulk messages instantaneously. James Madison University has had our StormGrid deployed for several years and will be adding on to it and implementing CameraGrid in the near future. Elizabeth City State University and Norfolk Academy have both the StormGrid and Alert119 systems integrated and successfully deployed. There are other facilities that only use only the CameraGrid products as that is all they need. The beauty of our technology is the fact that it is modular and designed to easily upgrade so you can order exactly what you need without being hand-cuffed.
While safety and protecting people is our number one priority, we also provide consultation, installation and support other products and services that protect equipment as well. These solutions include main panel parallel surge protection and line conditioning that increases efficiency by using that which would have been wasted or harmful, resulting in an actual price reduction on your electric bill. The nature of our business has created an environment which demands subject matter expertise on proper grounding, lightning and transient surge suppression. We can eliminate all electrical noise and even take high-end and mission critical equipment off of the power grid and safely switch it over to battery back-up and generator if needed.
ProActive has served as an advisor for Chesterfield Technical Center, ECPI and Beta Tech and remains an active member of the Board of Advisors for Information Technology for John Tyler Community College. We offer internships from local educational institutions and have hired top scholars that are a good fit for our Business. ProActive is currently a member of the Virginia Medical Group Management Association, the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Chesterfield Business Council, the Business First Committee and the Public Safety Awareness Committee. We also maintain a Department of Criminal Justice Services Certification within the private security services community and we are constantly developing and implementing better products and services to help create a safer environment.
