ProActive Information Management values the security of your network. As such, we wanted to inform you that there is a list of devices and programs that have either reached end of life or end of life is fast approaching and we will cease supporting those devices on February 1, 2023. This includes all devices running Windows 7 and Windows 8. These devices no longer receive updates and their operating systems will no longer be supported, thus continuing to use those devices on your network poses security risks.
These are some of the systems and devices that will reach end of life, with more listed here:End of Life is when Microsoft no longer offers customer service and your PC no longer receives security updates. Windows 7 reached end of life on January 14, 2020 and Windows 8.1 reaches end of life on January 10, 2023.
We recommend upgrading your devices to Windows 11 compatible devices and to off-board the outdated devices so that your company will remain secure and your data safe. For healthcare organizations, regulatory compliance mandates upgrading systems from unsupported software to avoid compliance violations.
ProActive is here to help you all along the way with the upgrade process. We can recommend new devices and software that will keep your data secure and your business running smoothly. Please reach out to our service manager, Steven Lemus, to get the ball rolling.
